Sometimes I think we forget that our clients don’t really understand what we do. Whether it’s out of arrogance or passion we sometimes get carried away with our jargon about fonts or printing terms and lots of other things. We need to try to remember that design might be foreign to them. Be ready to educate them.
Explain things in a way they can understand without making them feel dumb. Explain your process, your terms, explain what they can expect from you. And make sure they feel comfortable enough to come to you for clarification on anything should they need to in the future.
